ALBERTA • Duncan Milne has joined the Calgary office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP as an associate. • Joan Chambers and Debra Finlay have joined Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP as partners in its Vancouver office. They were formerly with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.
• Lauchlin MacEachern, Sean Murphy, and Chiara Woods have joined the Calgary office of Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP as associates.
• Jason Metcalf, Olga Kyselyova, Charles Roy, and Aaron Stephenson have joined the Calgary office of Macleod Dixon LLP as associates after completing their articles with the firm.

BRITISH COLUMBIA • Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP has made two additions to its Vancouver office. Michael Todd has joined as a national business law precedents lawyer, and Ellen Choi as an associate.

• Farris Vaughan Wills & Murphy LLP announced that four of its articling students—Joanne A. Anderton, Ben J. Eberhard, Eric L. Goodman, and Eli C. Walker—were called to the bar on September 5th and have since joined its Vancouver office as associates.

• Marc Jolicoeur has been announced as regional managing partner of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP's Ottawa office. This is the second time Jolicoeur has held the position.
• Ogilvy Renault LLP has promoted Ottawa-based lawyer Renée Thériault to counsel.
• Borden Ladner Gervais LLP has announced the addition of several new associates. Ilana Lipkin, J. Julian Chamberlain, Janye Lee, Justin Baichoo, and Olivia A. Bautista join the Toronto office. Kate Glover, Stacey Saufert, and Jamison Young will be with the firm's Ottawa location.
• Crown counsel Ian D. Scott has been appointed as director of the Special Investigations Unit. He will replace James Cornish, who's term expires on October 15.
