A University of Ottawa law professor, Adam Dodek, will be the new common law dean for the law school.
Dodek’s term will be five-and-a-half years in length, from Jan. 1, 2018 to June 30, 2023. He will be succeeding François Larocque, interim dean. Until the first of the year, Larocque will remain in this position.
“I am certain that his track record of achievement will make him well suited to lead the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section,” said Jacques Frémont, University of Ottawa’s president and vice-chancellor, in an e-mail statement.
