Evans returns to criminal law practice

|Written By Geoff Ellwand

Colourful Calgary lawyer C.D. Evans has decided to step back into his legal robes. The veteran of the criminal bar retired after 40 years in 2010. But retirement didn’t sit well with the author, blues fan, sometime professor and legal gadfly. So he has teamed up with ex-RCMP officer Patrick Fagan and Ian McKay to form criminal defence firm Evans Fagan McKay.

The firm got its official kickoff last Friday at a gathering at Gerry Thomas Gallery in the Beltline, where the defence lawyers, Crowns, judges, and journalists offered a convivial “welcome back” to the sometimes controversial and always amusing Evans.
