On March 16, 2026, Synergie and Agilus Work Solutions announced the closing of their transaction following the signing of an agreement on January 26, 2026. The transaction value was not publicly disclosed, though it represents Synergie's largest international acquisition to date.
Founded in 1976, Agilus has grown into the 8th largest staffing player in Canada. Agilus' core business is the provision of temporary and permanent staffing solutions for professional and technical roles, as well as payrolling for industries linked to natural resources and IT.
Synergie is an international group providing companies and institutions with a comprehensive range of services in human resources management and development, including recruitment, temporary work, training, and consulting. The combination of both Agilus and Synergie's existing Canadian network will give the Synergie Group extensive national coverage across the country and create value through highly complementary capabilities, particularly in engineering, IT, professional, and operational skill sets.
Miller Thomson LLP advised Agilus Work Solutions with a team led by Brendon Ho and Nizar Dahrouge (Corporate/M&A). BMO Capital Markets acted as exclusive financial advisor to Synergie in the transaction. As the deal has closed, no further closing date applies.
