Bindu Cudjoe is a dynamic, strategic and transformational general counsel, risk advisor, executive and director. Bindu is driven by a passion to help people and organizations achieve their goals and be better.

A seasoned executive, Bindu is TD Bank's General Counsel, Canadian Banking.  She has served in executive roles at Laurentian Bank of Canada, Canadian Western Bank and Bank of Montreal and led organizational strategy for legal, regulatory compliance, privacy, financial crimes and ethics risk management and equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility. Bindu has been a financial services partner at McMillan LLP and began her career at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Immediately prior to joining TD Bank, Bindu ran a consultancy where she provided governance and risk management advice.

Bindu brings extensive governance experience, having served on over 10 boards in the last 20 years, including as chair and board chair, and having served as the corporate secretary for two public companies. She currently serves on the boards of Oakville Community Foundation, the Association of Corporate Counsel, Dress for Success Toronto and VersaFi (formerly Women in Capital Markets), and as an advisor for several enterprises.

Bindu was recognized as Law Department Leader of the year by the Canadian Law Awards in 2024, in addition to being recognized with numerous awards for innovation and diversity and is frequently sought after as a speaker and commentator on risk management, governance, innovation and inclusion.

Raised in Calgary, Bindu holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto, where she was elected class valedictorian, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary. A mother of three children, Bindu lives in Oakville and is active in her local community.
