Dan Dagan

Dan Dagan is General Counsel of Siemens Energy Canada, a role he has held since the company’s formation in 2020. He leads the Canadian legal team in supporting the business across a broad range of matters, including complex projects, regulatory issues, litigation, employment law, corporate governance, and commercial contracting.

Dan is a business-oriented lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in private practice and senior in-house legal roles. Before joining Siemens Energy, he spent a decade with Siemens Canada Limited and another decade with Ontario Power Generation, where he held legal and commercial leadership roles on major power generation and transmission projects.

At Siemens Energy, Dan focuses on helping the business manage risk, solve problems, and make practical decisions in complex commercial environments. His approach emphasizes protecting the company’s interests while preserving long-term customer relationships and supporting the business in moving projects to a successful conclusion.

Dan has been recognized for professional excellence and has a particular interest in legal innovation, modern legal operations, and the practical adoption of artificial intelligence in legal work. He has spoken and written on legal technology, innovation, and the changing role of in-house legal teams, with contributions to various publications and professional forums.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys reading, yoga, and performing music, both solo and with bands.
