Nominations open for first-ever Canadian Law Awards

Nominations are now open for the inaugural Canadian Law Awards. A gala evening that will recognize Canada’s leading law firms, in-house legal teams, individuals, and landmark deals over the past year.

Presented by Lexpert, and supported by Canadian Lawyer and InHouse, the awards will recognize excellence among the best and brightest lawyers, firms, and legal teams in Canada.

Over 30 award categories are open for nominations from local and international law firms, lawyers, and in-house legal teams. All nominations will be reviewed by an independent judging panel of leading lawyers.

Among the broad range of categories will be Canadian Deal of the Year, Law Department Leader of the Year, Commercial Litigation Team of the Year, Canadian Boutique Law Firm of the Year, and Managing Partner of the Year.

Finalists will be announced in Lexpert, Canadian Lawyer, and InHouse in March of 2020.

Winners will be revealed during the black-tie gala on May 7th at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. Those winners will receive special feature coverage in the Canadian Law Awards Lexpert Special Edition.

The event is organized by Key Media, publishers of Lexpert, who present a similar awards gala in Australasia. That event brings together hundreds of leading lawyers to recognize the best in the profession across Australia and New Zealand
