The countdown to Lexpert and Canadian’s annual celebration of outstanding young lawyers is on
In just a few weeks, Canadian Lawyer and Lexpert will be revealing the top leading young lawyers across Canada’s law firms, in-house departments, and other practices.
But there’s still time to reserve a table at the annual Lexpert Rising Stars Awards, which will take place on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Liberty Grand in Toronto.
Last year, nearly 500 attendees celebrated the winners, a hand-picked group of lawyers aged 40 and under who have already made outstanding contributions to Canada’s legal profession.
This year’s bash will open with a cocktail reception, followed by a dinner banquet and awards ceremony hosted by award-winning journalist and former national news anchor Farah Nasser.
Winners of the 2026 Lexpert Rising Stars Awards will be unveiled for the first time at the awards ceremony. Each winner was evaluated and selected via a multi-step process that involved consideration by the Lexpert Rising Stars team and a panel of judges. This year’s judges comprise lawyers and executives at Canada’s top law firms and businesses.
Register for the event on the Lexpert Rising Stars Award website.
The 2026 Lexpert Rising Stars Awards would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors, including Gold Sponsors Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, Norton Rose Fulbright, Langlois Avocats, Ross Nasseri LLP, and Torkin Manes LLP.
Last year, Cassels managing partner Kristin Taylor explained why the law firm supports the celebrations.
“At Cassels, we know the legal industry's future depends on nurturing diverse and talented professionals,” Taylor said.
“We value Lexpert’s recognition of the Canadian legal leaders of tomorrow through the Rising Star awards – and we are proud to take part in celebrating their achievements each year.”
Canadian Lawyer and Lexpert also extends thanks to our Silver Sponsors McMillan LLP; our Education Partners, Osgoode Hall Law School and York University; our Associate Sponsor, Bovine Wine Club; and our Experience Sponsor, Orient Retreat.
