Jones Day boosts labour & employment practice with new hire in London

Jones Day has welcomed Pulina Whitaker as a partner in the labour & employment practice. She previously spent eight years as a partner at Morgan Lewis & Bockius.

Based in the London office, Whitaker has 25 years of experience advising clients on employment and data privacy issues. She has particular experience managing key employment matters in sales and acquisitions, commercial outsourcing, and business restructuring. She regularly advises on international employee misconduct investigations and defense strategies in response to a wide range of employment and data privacy allegations and claims—including bullying, harassment, unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, breach of data processing, and employment contract claims, and she supports cross-border data breach investigations.

"Pulina is highly accomplished at helping clients navigate complex employment law matters in the UK and across other European jurisdictions," said Elizabeth McRee, co-leader of the labor & employment practice. "Her practice spans internationally and includes some of the world's largest companies in the technology, financial services, and life sciences industries. Her background is an excellent complement to our global practice and I am pleased to welcome her to Jones Day."

At Jones Day, Whitaker will advise clients facing employment discrimination, harassment, wage-hour, and restrictive covenant cases in federal and state courts.

"Jones Day is consistently named as one of the top law firms in the world when it comes to client service and I believe that is a reflection of the firm's commitment to a culture of seamless collaboration among lawyers worldwide," said Whitaker. "The London office is a key part of this culture, providing excellent legal counsel across multiple areas of practice for clients located around the globe. I am honored to join Jones Day and look forward to collaborating with my new colleagues in London."
