Dentons Europe submits progress report to the UN Global Compact

Dentons Europe LLP, a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2020, has released its annual Communication on Progress report on the implementation of the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact during 2023

The report highlights the firm's ongoing commitment and efforts to integrate the UN's Ten Principles, which focus on human and labour rights, environmental sustainability, and anti-corruption, into its operations.

Tomasz Dabrowski, the Chief Executive Officer of Dentons Europe, emphasized the firm's dedication to embedding the Ten Principles into its framework.

“We are proud to be integrating the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles into the strategy, culture, and day-to-day operations of our firm. We have established robust policies and a transparent governance structure to align with the Ten Principles and also engage in collaborative projects to advance the sustainable development goals of the United Nations,” Dabrowski said.

The Communication on Progress details Dentons' internal efforts towards the UN’s Ten Principles and sustainable development goals. The report also highlights how the firm extends its influence on sustainable development through client services, pro bono legal work, and charitable activities.

Ewa Rutkowska-Subocz, who oversees Dentons' client-facing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) offerings in Europe and Central Asia, outlined the firm's comprehensive range of legal services.

“Dentons offers a full range of legal services to help our clients integrate ESG principles into their business models – from environmental law to sustainable finance, from employment law to greenwashing litigation, from renewable energy to ESG strategy and due diligence,” said Ewa Rutkowska-Subocz, who leads Dentons’ client-facing ESG offering across Europe and Central Asia.

Furthermore, Rutkowska-Subocz also highlighted Dentons' active involvement in promoting human rights and ensuring access to justice through its robust pro bono program and the initiatives of the Dentons Europe Foundation.
