Gowling WLG partner Scott Kugler is a listed representative of defendant M. Garofalo. He heads the firm’s class action defence group. Gowling WLG partner David Lobl is a listed representative of defendant Sterling Bank and Trust Limited. He co-leads the firm’s private client services group.
Paris Sayer LLP partner Denise Sayer is a listed representative of defendant J. Contreras. She is a business litigator. Howard Gerson, civil and commercial litigator, is a listed representative of defendant A. Mushore. The other defendants appeared to be unrepresented.
The next most notable commercial suit was the $1.4-billion case Bridging Finance Inc. et al v KPMG LLP. Thornton Grout Finnigan associate James Hardy is a listed representative of Bridging Finance Inc. and nine other plaintiffs. Defendant KPMG LLP appeared to be unrepresented.
A third notable commercial suit was the $490,077,625.56 case Alcazar Capital Partners v Kurdistan Regional Government et al. Borden Ladner Gervais LLP partner Ira Nishisato is a listed representative of applicant Alcazar Capital Partners. He is a commercial litigator and international disputes lawyer. The Kurdistan Regional Government and one other respondent appeared to be unrepresented.
