Five law firms made new announcements
Welcome to this week’s roundup of movements among major law firms, in which we sum up significant hires, promotions, departures, and other announcements.
Fogler, Rubinoff LLP
The firm has recently welcomed Kevin Pinkoski as an associate in the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution group, and Mohiminol Khandaker as an associate in the condominium law group.
Harper Grey LLP
The firm has welcomed Lesley Russell as an associate practising with Harper Grey’s business law group. Russell specializes in wills and estates, including incapacity and estate planning and administration. She received her law degree from the University of Manitoba and was called to the BC bar in 2016.
Howie, Sacks & Henry LLP
The firm has welcomed Mariana Atia as an associate specializing in complex litigation, including class actional lawsuits, medical malpractice claims, and motor vehicle accidents. Atia obtained her law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2022 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2023. Before joining HSH, Mariana developed a strong foundation in insurance defence at a reputable full-service firm in downtown Toronto.
Lawson Lundell LLP
Joseph B. Wenig has joined Lawson Lundell as an associate in the firm’s Calgary office. Wenig’s practice focuses on civil litigation and administrative law.
McMillan LLP
André Paquette has joined McMillan as a partner in the firm’s Montreal office. Pacquette specializes in business law and mergers and acquisitions.
McMillan has also welcomed Olivier Lajeunesse and Maude Colpron as associates in the firm’s Montreal office. Lajeunesse specializes in litigation and dispute resolution, while Colpron practises business law, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, the firm’s Vancouver office has welcomed Alexander Bounassisi as an associate. Bounassisi’s practice focuses on intellectual property.
