Jane Reid and Rosemary Gallo join the firm as it expands services in complex family law matters
Alexander Holburn has welcomed Jane Reid and Rosemary Gallo as new partners to lead its newly launched family law group, expanding the firm’s services in complex property division, child and spousal support, parenting arrangements and family agreements.
Reid and Gallo will lead the group, which includes four additional lawyers and three administrative professionals. The practice will handle matters involving corporate structures, business interests, trusts, multi-jurisdictional property, income determination, child and spousal support, and parenting arrangements. The group will also advise on and draft cohabitation and marriage agreements.
The firm said the new group will strengthen its ability to provide integrated legal advice when family law matters intersect with estates and trusts, health law, employment law, business law and litigation.
“Jane, Rosemary and the team bring exceptional family law experience and a thoughtful, client-centred approach that aligns closely with our firm,” said Michael Nadeau, Alexander Holburn's managing partner.
Reid joins as a partner and leader of the family law group. She has practised family law exclusively since 2004, advising on high-net-worth matters involving complex property division, income determination, support and corporate structures.
She is a certified mediator, collaborative lawyer, and experienced litigator who helps clients through negotiation, mediation, and court advocacy.
Gallo joins as a partner, advising on family property and debt division, income determination, child and spousal support, parenting issues and agreements. The group also includes associate counsel Tamlin Cooper, a certified collaborative family lawyer who advises on asset division, support, parenting matters and family agreements.
Emma Ferguson, a partner in the firm's wills, estates + trusts and family law practice groups, advises on marriage and cohabitation agreements, corporate structures, trusts and multi-jurisdictional matters.
Manjit Grewal, a partner and senior civil litigator, assists with separation and divorce matters involving parenting, support and property division. Associate Monica Wong advises on family property and debt division, support and parenting matters.
