BLG has welcomed Rick Da Costa as a partner and new national leader for corporate and regulatory insurance and reinsurance. Da Costa has joined the firm’s financial services team in Toronto. His experience encompasses insurance, reinsurance, and captive insurance matters.

He has advised underwriters on capital market transactions involving numerous real estate investments.

Born likewise specializes in commercial real estate law. His practice focuses on real estate investment transactions and property development. He has acted for clients on all aspects of real estate matters, ‎including the ‎acquisition, disposition, management, ‎operation, financing and development of all property types, joint ventures, partnerships, and commercial ‎leasing.‎ In addition, he has expertise in structuring and leading real estate investment transactions and ‎development projects, including advising on tax considerations.
